It is a single-stage, horizontal, radially split volute pump.  The casing is supported by footing, and has a single-stage radial impeller; axial suction, radial discharge. The shaft seal is stuffing box seal, and it can also be single-face or double-face cartridge mechanical seal; and provided with a cooling, flushing or sealing fluid system.

The standard piping is designed according to API specifications.

The rated pressure ratings of the suction and discharge flanges are the same.

Seen from the motor end, the pump rotates clockwise.
